Cyber Risk Institute
The Cyber Risk Institute (CRI) is the premier global coalition of financial institutions and trade associations, operating as a not-for-profit organization since its launch in 2020 to provide a unified approach to cybersecurity and regulatory harmonization. The CRI supports the financial sector by offering the CRI Profile, a standardized assessment tool and technical framework, to reduce the burden of regulatory fragmentation and to help make the global economy the safest place for financial transactions. Acting as the industry’s “Rosetta Stone” for compliance, the CRI Profile monitors evolving regulatory expectations, issues diagnostic statements mapped to global standards like NIST, coordinates with international regulators, and serves as the single point of reference for financial cyber risk, ensuring a coordinated and resilient national and international approach to financial security.
