The FIRST CVSS Calculator is an interactive tool provided by the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) that enables users to assess the severity of software vulnerabilities using the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) standard. The calculator supports multiple CVSS versions, including 3.0, 3.1, and 4.0, and allows users to input specific metric values related to a vulnerability’s characteristics, such as attack vector, complexity, and impact. As users select values for each metric, the calculator computes and displays the Base, Temporal, and Environmental scores, offering a comprehensive view of the vulnerability’s risk level. Helpful features include hover-over summaries for each metric and the ability to generate and share a vector string representing the selected metrics and scores.
